Yoga Therapy is eligible for reimbursement from your Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health savings accounts (HSA), or your health reimbursement accounts (HRA).
Some insurance companies may require a doctor’s letter, prescription or a LMN (Letter of Medical Necessity). Just let your doctor know that you would like to be able to have Private Yoga Therapy sessions as a covered medical expense for your FSA/HSA, and she/he can write the appropriate documentation for you.
It just needs to include the following:
- The medical need (i.e., to relieve stress or back pain)
- How many sessions (i.e., 2x/month)
- For how long (i.e., 12 months)
