Intro to Tai Chi & Qi Gong

This 4-week series offers a gentle introduction to Tai Chi and Qi Gong, two traditional practices known for improving balance, mobility, and overall well-being through slow, mindful movement.

Students will learn Yang 24, a short Tai Chi sequence practiced with smooth weight shifts, relaxed joints, and an upright spine, along with Eight Brocades (Ba Duan Jin), a classic Qi Gong practice of eight simple movements that combine gentle stretching with calm, coordinated breathing.

Together, these practices feel like a form of moving meditation, helping to release tension, improve coordination, and cultivate a sense of calm while strengthening the body.

Classes move at a light to moderate pace with an emphasis on ease rather than strain. With consistent practice, many students notice improved balance, mobility, posture, and reduced stress. All levels are welcome. No prior experience is necessary.
