In 1993 a mountaineer named Greg Mortenson drifted into an impoverished Pakistan village in the Karakoram mountains after a failed attempt to climb K2. Moved by the inhabitants' kindness, he promised to return and build a school. Three Cups of Tea is the story of that promise and its extraordinary outcome. Over the next decade Mortenson built not just one but fifty-five schools - especially for girls - in the forbidding terrain that gave birth to the Taliban. His story is at once a riveting adventure and a testament to the power of the humanitarian spirit.
The inner body is hidden & full of complexities. Begin to unlock the energy flow (meridians) or network of interconnecting tissues & organs in the body. Like rivers, meridians flow through all tissues & bones, lubricating the joints and connecting the interior body with the exterior body. When the energy of the body is weak, stagnant or out of harmony precursors to illness can manifest. A yin practice nourishes the joints over time by gently encouraging strength and elasticity of the ligaments. Yin poses are held for several minutes allowing for the steady body to begin to truly surrender. This workshop is appropriate for all levels - not recommended for prenatal students.

Leadership is about awareness and action. Leadership is not about a special kind of person, but rather a special kind of action. In this program, Tom will help participants identify, isolate and examine concrete examples of leadership in action. Participants will practice the key steps to taking effective leadership action: 1) assess the situation, 2) identify what needs to happen, 3) gather the courage and take action, 4) assess the impact of that action.
In the weeks leading up to the program, participants will be asked to complete a short phone interview and an online Myers Briggs Step I & Step II assessment.
